Beach the Difference and Art-chery
It all started about one month before the beginning of our Girl Scout adventure. We went to Wildwood Beach and camped out near the water in tents. We were also nearby to an amusement park with many fun rides to go on. There were many other scout troops joining us in this fun. We had the opportunity to enjoy the beach as well as the rides! We stayed there for 2 days.
Later, in November, we had the great experience of doing archery at Jersey City Archery on the 23rd! We learned how to properly and safely shoot an arrow and the types of bows we used.
On November 25th, we participated in the Be The Difference Fair, Kindness Rocks activity, and Like Us screening at St. Peter's University. The Kindness Rocks activity was organized and led by us (Troop 12912) and some St. Peter's University students. Other kids had the chance to earn a patch by completing 8 fun activities. At the Be The Difference Fair, 12 organizations from the NJ area came together and talked about helping in the community, how they are participating, and how you can too. Finally, at the Like Us screening, many people got to view the movie, learn about its making, and hear from some girls who participated in the movie.
On December 8th, 8 girls participated in a hike in NYC. They got to find geocaches and admire some outdoor art on the High Line. They also went to a marble store and learned about sculpting.
